Edlio CMS provides multiple newsletter layouts to help you format announcements, district updates, and community bulletins appropriately for your audience. When creating a newsletter, you can choose from structured text and image arrangements or select layouts that automatically pull dynamic news stories and calendar events directly from your website.
đĄ CMS Newsletters vs. Mass Communication: The Newsletters tool described in this guide is the email publication feature built directly into the Edlio CMS (under Communications > Newsletters). For multi-channel broadcast messaging (voice, SMS text messages, and mobile app push notifications), use Edlio's standalone Mass Communication tool.
Choosing a newsletter layout
Available layout structures
When you start a new newsletter, select the template layout that matches your communication goals:
Standard Text & Image Layouts: Clean single-column or multi-column grids featuring header banners, body text sections, and call-to-action buttons for general updates.
Include Your News and Events: Automatically pulls recently published news articles and upcoming calendar events directly from your school website into the newsletter draft.
Include Your News: Focuses specifically on featuring headline news stories published in your school website's news categories.
After selecting your layout, click Continue to proceed to adding content and editing sections. You can switch to a different layout later from within the email editor if desired.
