Delete or lock out a user

Updated over 4 months ago

Overview

When you need to remove a user's access to your Edlio CMS, you have three options: lock out, disable, or delete. Each option has different implications for user data and visibility on your website. This article helps you choose the right option for your situation.

Key Questions to Consider

Before taking action, ask yourself:

  • Is this a temporary removal of privileges?

  • Do this user's personal pages need to remain on the site?

  • Does this person need to remain in the staff list?

  • Should this user account be permanently removed?

If you only need to adjust permissions rather than remove access, consider managing their feature access or changing their account type instead.
