Overview
Bulk user management allows you to update permissions for multiple users simultaneously, saving you time and streamlining administrative tasks. This feature enables you to disable/enable accounts, manage password resets, and control user lockouts—all from a single interface.
Accessing Bulk User Management
Navigate to the user management section of your CMS
Use the checkboxes to select individual users or the "Select All" option
Utilize the search bar to find specific users
Apply filters to view users by status (disabled/enabled, locked out, requiring password reset)
Key Functions
Disable and Enable Users in Bulk
When you disable a user account:
The user cannot log into the website
Their data and personal pages remain saved in the CMS
Their pages are hidden from the public website
Their name is removed from the Staff Directory
This action is reversible—you can enable accounts again at any time.
Force Password Reset
When you force a password reset:
Users must create a new password before logging in again
Their information, pages, and directory listings remain visible on the public site
No automatic password reset email is sent—users must reset via the login page
You can also disable forced password resets in bulk when needed.
Lock Out and Unlock Users
When you lock out a user:
The user cannot log into the website
All their information, pages, and directory listings remain visible on the public site
Only a web administrator can unlock their account
You can unlock multiple users at once when appropriate.
Bulk Account Request Review
If you're using single sign-on (SSO) with Google or Microsoft:
Review and approve multiple account requests simultaneously
Process new users more efficiently
Manage accounts that are configured to be disabled on first login
