Select the Spotlight Message to edit
If there is only one spotlight message on your site, you'll be taken directly to the edit screen for that message.
If there are multiple spotlight messages on your site, click on the title of the message you want to edit.
Enter the information about your message:
message text
featured photo to display with your message
additional images or files
Customize the "Read More" link destination
By default, the Read More link opens a public page showing the full spotlight content. You can override this with a Custom link if you want Read More to point elsewhere.
Custom link accepts:
Relative URLs — enter
/apps/mypageinstead ofhttps://www.schoolsite.org/apps/mypageExternal URLs — full
https://...links to outside sitesEmail links —
mailto:[email protected]opens a new email
Enter a "Read More" link (optional)
If your spotlight message contains lots of information, you can choose to display a "read more" link that will show up under your message. When clicked it will open a page showing all the details of the spotlight message.
You can customize the name of the link in the field provided.
To increase the accessibility of your website, be sure to name it something more specific than "Read More". For example, "Read the entire Principal's Message" or "Details about the concert".
