Update your site logo and header image

Site logo and header image changes require a support ticket. What to include in your ticket and what counts as logo or header.

Site logo and header image

Your site logo and header image are part of your site's design — they're set up when your Edlio site is built and aren't editable from the CMS admin. To change them, you'll need to submit a support ticket through Eddy.

ℹ️ Logo and header changes require a support ticket. These elements are part of your site theme and aren't self-serve at this time. Continue reading for what to include in your ticket.

What counts as logo or header

  • Site logo — the school or district logo that appears at the top of every page (typically in the top-left of the header). The footer logo is the same as the header logo — they're rendered from the same theme asset, so a logo update applies to both at once.

  • Header image — the wide image, banner, or background that runs across the top of your site.

Note: Hero Shuffles and Featured Videos at the top of the homepage are self-serve features — see "What you CAN edit yourself" below.

Common reasons to update

  • Rebrand or new logo design

  • School name change or merger

  • New academic year refresh

  • Anniversary or special-occasion variant

  • Fixing a logo that's blurry, pixelated, or rendering incorrectly

How to request the change

Open a support ticket through Eddy, Edlio's AI support assistant. For the full ticket-submission walkthrough, see How to submit a support ticket via Eddy.

Include in your ticket:

  • Your school or district name and website URL

  • What you want changed — logo, header image, both, etc.

  • The new image file(s) — attach to the ticket if possible

  • Where it should appear — all pages, homepage only, specific section, etc.

  • Any deadlines — board meeting, public announcement, school year start, etc.

Image specifications

To minimize back-and-forth, prepare your image with these guidelines:

  • Format: PNG with transparent background is preferred for logos (works on any header color); JPG is fine for header photos.

  • Resolution: Provide a high-resolution version (at least 2x the size it will display) so it looks crisp on retina/high-DPI screens.

  • Aspect ratio: If you can, match the aspect ratio of the current logo or header so it fits the same space. (Look at your current site to see the dimensions.)

  • File size: Keep under 1 MB if possible. Compress with a tool like TinyPNG before sending.

  • Vector source (SVG, AI, EPS): If you have a vector original of your logo, send that as well — it's the most flexible format for the support team to work with.

What you CAN edit yourself

While the logo and main header image require a ticket, several homepage elements that often appear near the top ARE self-serve:
