Restore pages from Publish History

Updated over 2 months ago

Sometimes you may need to go back to an earlier version of a page on your school website. Maybe content was accidentally deleted, or you prefer how the page looked before recent changes. Our content management platform keeps track of all versions of your pages, making it easy to restore any previous version.

When You Might Need This Feature

  • Content was accidentally removed or changed

  • You want to revert to a layout that worked better

  • Multiple people edited a page and you need to go back to a specific version

Important Things to Remember

  • Restoring a page will replace your current version with the selected older version

  • Any changes made after the restored version will be lost

  • The restoration happens immediately once you click the restore button

  • You can always restore a different version later if needed

Tips for Success

  • Always preview the version before restoring to make sure it's exactly what you want

  • Check how the page looks on all device types (desktop, tablet, phone) before restoring

  • Consider making a note of what changes you're reverting so other team members understand why

This feature gives you confidence to experiment with your school website, knowing you can always return to a previous version if needed.
