This guide will help you navigate to your school's website pages and understand the different types of pages you can manage.
Accessing Your Pages
There are two ways to reach your website pages:
Method 1: Through the Dashboard
Log into your content management platform
From the main dashboard, select Pages
Method 2: Using the Menu
Click the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) in the top corner
Navigate to Page Management
Select Pages
Understanding Page Types
Once you access Pages, you'll see different types of pages depending on your account permissions:
Category Pages (Default View)
When you first open Pages, you'll automatically see Category Pages. These are organized pages that belong to specific categories and sections of your website.
To edit Category Pages:
Click on the category you want to work with
Select the specific section containing the page you wish to edit
Choose your page and begin editing
Note: Only website administrators and accounts with special access can manage Category Pages.
Personal Pages
These are individual pages that you can create and manage independently.
To access Personal Pages:
From the Pages area, click Personal Pages
Select the page you want to edit
Who Can Access What?
Website Administrators have full access to:
All Category Pages
All Personal Pages
Page organization and structure
Teachers and Staff with special permissions can access:
Specific Category Pages (as assigned)
Their own Personal Pages
Regular Users can typically access:
Their own Personal Pages only
Quick Tips
Category Pages are best for school-wide information like policies, announcements, and department pages
Personal Pages are perfect for individual teacher pages, classroom information, and personal content
Always check which type of page you're editing before making changes
Changes to Category Pages may affect the entire school website structure
