Supported browsers for Edlio

Which browsers and browser versions Edlio officially supports for CMS admin and public school sites, plus how to troubleshoot browser-specific issues.

Supported browsers

Edlio's CMS, public school sites, and Eddy support widget are tested against the two most recent major versions of these browsers:

Mobile Chrome on Android is also supported on the latest two major OS releases. Public-facing school sites are responsive and work on any modern mobile browser; the CMS admin is best used on desktop or tablet.

What "supported" means

If you're using a supported browser at a supported version, Edlio guarantees:

  • All admin features work as documented

  • Public sites render correctly

  • Bug reports get prioritized fixes

If you're using an older version or unsupported browser, the site may still load, but some features may behave unexpectedly. Edlio's engineering team focuses fixes on supported configurations.

What's not supported

  • Internet Explorer — Microsoft retired IE in 2022. Edlio does not test against IE.

  • Older browser versions — If your browser is more than two major versions behind the current release, update before troubleshooting any issues.

  • Browsers with compatibility/legacy modes enabled — Some enterprise IT setups force older rendering engines on Edge or Chrome. Ask your IT team to disable compatibility mode for *.edlioadmin.com and your public site domain.

  • Heavily customized browser builds — Browsers with aggressive privacy or security extensions may strip features Edlio needs. See Allowlist Edlio in your ad blocker for the most common cause.

Check your browser version

If you're not sure what browser or version you're using, visit whatsmybrowser.org — it will tell you in plain language. Compare what it reports to the current major version of your browser on the vendor's site.

Compatibility troubleshooting

If something looks wrong in your browser, try these in order:

  1. Hard refresh the page (Ctrl+F5 on Windows, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac) to bypass cached content

  2. Open the page in an incognito or private window to rule out extensions or cached data

  3. Try a different supported browser — if Chrome shows the issue but Firefox doesn't, the cause is likely browser-specific

  4. Update your browser to the latest version

  5. Disable browser extensions one at a time to identify any that interfere

Report a browser-specific issue

If you've worked through the steps above and the issue is reproducible, open a ticket through Eddy. Include:

  • Browser name and version (use whatsmybrowser.org to get exact details)

  • Operating system and version

  • Which page or feature shows the problem

  • What you expected vs. what you see

  • Whether the issue happens in a private/incognito window

Log into your Edlio admin site and click the Eddy chat icon in the bottom-right corner to start a ticket.
