Short version: Open your ad blocker's extension menu and add your Edlio admin URL (and edlioadmin.com) to its allowlist. Then refresh the page.
Why ad blockers break Edlio admin
Most ad blockers work by matching URLs and HTML element names against a public list of advertising patterns. The list is broad: any element with keywords like facebook, twitter, google, tracking, or social is often hidden by default.
Edlio's admin uses those exact keywords for legitimate features — the Google sign-in button, the Twitter/X publishing integration, the Eddy support widget, and parts of the Social Media Manager. An ad blocker scanning the page may hide these as if they were ads.
Common symptoms
If an ad blocker is interfering, you may see:
The Sign in with Google button is missing on your login page (only "Sign in as Super Administrator" appears)
The Eddy support chat icon doesn't appear in the bottom-right corner of your admin dashboard
The Social Media Manager page loads blank or shows missing Connect buttons
The Share Form popup is empty when you try to push a news story to Twitter/X or Facebook
Other social-media-related UI elements load without their buttons or status indicators
How to allowlist Edlio in common ad blockers
The exact steps depend on which ad blocker you use. For each blocker, the general pattern is:
Click the ad blocker's icon in your browser toolbar (usually top-right)
Find a control labeled "Pause on this site", "Disable for this site", or "Add to allowlist"
Apply it to your Edlio admin URL (the one ending in
.edlioadmin.com)Refresh the page

Other sources of blocking
Ad blockers aren't the only culprit. The same symptoms can come from:
Browser-built-in tracking protection — Firefox's Enhanced Tracking Protection (strict mode), Safari's Intelligent Tracking Prevention, or Edge's tracking-prevention setting can all hide social-media elements. Try toggling off for your admin site.
Privacy-focused browsers — Brave, Vivaldi, and similar browsers ship with built-in blocking. Look for a shield or settings icon near the address bar.
Corporate network or DNS filters — Some school districts filter network traffic upstream of the browser. If allowlisting in the browser doesn't fix the issue, your IT team may need to allowlist Edlio domains at the network level.
Browser extensions other than ad blockers — Privacy Badger, DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials, or other tracker-blocking extensions can have the same effect.
Test in a private window first
If you're not sure whether an ad blocker is the cause, open your admin site in an incognito (Chrome, Edge) or private browsing (Safari, Firefox) window. Most ad blockers are disabled by default in private mode, so if the missing elements appear there, the ad blocker is confirmed as the cause.
Still not working?
If you've allowlisted Edlio in your ad blocker, tried a private browsing window, and the elements are still missing, open an Edlio Support ticket through Eddy. Include:
Which symptom you're seeing (missing Google sign-in button, missing Eddy widget, blank Social Media Manager, etc.)
Which browser you're using and its version
Which ad blocker or privacy tool is installed
Whether the issue happens in a private/incognito window
To open a ticket: log into your Edlio admin site, click the Eddy chat icon in the bottom-right corner, and describe what you're experiencing. Eddy will route you to a support agent.
