Page Layouts

Setting Your Default Layout

Choose any page layout as the default for all new pages you create. This includes options like hero layouts and single-column designs. Once you select a default layout, all future pages will automatically use this format.

Updating Existing Pages

If you want your current pages to match your new default layout, use the "Change existing pages to match default layout" button. This applies your chosen layout to all existing pages at once.

Side Panel Options

The Side Panel adds content in a column alongside your main page content. It can include:

  • Section menus for easy navigation

  • Content blocks

  • Photo galleries

  • File downloads

  • Staff information blocks

By default, the side panel appears on the right side of your pages.

Breadcrumbs Navigation

Breadcrumbs are the clickable links that appear at the top of each webpage, showing visitors exactly where they are on your site (Category > Section > Page).

Individual Page Control (Default Setting)

  • Select "According to individual page options"

  • This lets you decide whether breadcrumbs appear on each specific page

  • To manage breadcrumbs for a single page, go to that page's Page Options

Turn Off All Breadcrumbs

  • Select "Never on any page"

  • This removes breadcrumbs from your entire website

Category Display in Breadcrumbs

You can choose which categories show up in your breadcrumb navigation by checking the boxes next to each category name.

Example: If your "Athletic Teams" category isn't checked, visitors won't see "Athletic Teams" in the breadcrumb path when viewing the Baseball page.

File Type Icons

File type icons are small symbols that appear next to downloadable files on your pages, helping visitors quickly identify file formats (like PDF, Word documents, or images).

Managing File Icons

  • Default: File type icons are displayed on all pages

  • To hide icons: Uncheck "Display file type icons before file names"

  • This setting applies to your entire website

Categories Management

Control which categories appear in both your admin dashboard and on your public website's department landing page.

Show or Hide Categories

  • Checked categories: Appear in your admin area and on the public site

  • Unchecked categories: Are hidden from both admin and public view

Example: If you check the first three categories and uncheck the last three, only the first three will be visible to administrators and website visitors.

Staff Directory Recommendation

If you see both Classes and Staff columns in your settings, we recommend enabling Staff Blocks on Pages for better functionality and appearance.
