Add a School Calendar

Adding calendars to your school website helps keep students, parents, and staff informed about important dates and events. You can create multiple calendars for different purposes, such as academic calendars, sports schedules, or special events.

What You'll Need

  • Administrator or editor access to your school's content management platform

  • A clear name for your new calendar

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Access Calendar Settings

  1. Log into your school's content management platform

  2. Navigate to Settings from the main menu

Step 2: Open the Calendars Section

  1. Click on the Calendars tab

  2. You'll see a list of any existing calendars for your school

  1. Click the Add Calendar button

  2. A new calendar form will appear

Step 4: Configure Calendar Details

  1. Set Display Order: Use the Calendar Order drop-down field to choose where this calendar appears relative to other calendars on your website

    • Lower numbers appear first

    • This helps organize multiple calendars logically

  2. Name Your Calendar: Enter a clear, descriptive name in the Title field

    • Examples: "Academic Calendar," "Athletic Events," "PTA Meetings," "School Holidays"

    • Choose names that parents and students will easily understand

Step 5: Save Your Work

  1. Click the Save button to create your new calendar

  2. Your calendar is now ready to use and will appear on your school website
