Pages Feature with Accessibility

Updated over 5 months ago

The Pages feature is a powerful tool that allows you to create and manage pages on your website. With the added feature of Accessibility, you can ensure that your pages are accessible to all users, regardless of their abilities.

The Accessibility Badge

In the Pages feature, pages with accessibility issues are indicated by a badge. This badge allows you to easily identify which pages need attention and make necessary changes to improve their accessibility.

Only pages that have active accessibility issues will display the Accessibility badge. This means that if you have resolved all accessibility issues on a page, the badge will no longer appear. The badge also indicates the number of active issues that have not been resolved, giving you a quick overview of the page's accessibility status.

It is important to note that pages that only have dismissed issues or do not have any accessibility issues will not display a badge. This ensures that you can focus on the pages that truly need your attention.

How to edit an existing page with Accessibility

By following these simple steps, you can easily edit an existing page and check for any accessibility issues before publishing.

Open the Page for Editing

To begin, navigate to the page you wish to edit and click on the "Edit" button. This will open the page in the editing mode.

Check for Accessibility Issues

Once the page is open for editing, you can check for any accessibility issues by clicking on the "Accessibility" tab. This will run a scan on the page and highlight any potential issues that need to be addressed.

As you make changes to the page to resolve these issues, the page footer will indicate that there are changes since the last report. This serves as a reminder to review the page for any remaining issues before publishing.

Save Draft and Generate a New Report

Once you have made all the necessary changes to the page, click on the "Save Draft" button. This will save the page and generate a new accessibility report. It is important to note that the report will only be generated once the page has been saved.

After the page has been saved, an updated accessibility report will be generated. Review the report and make any additional changes if needed.

Publish the Page

Once all accessibility issues have been resolved, you can publish the page by clicking on the "Publish" button. This will make the page live on your website for all users to access.
