Edlio is committed to providing a platform for accessible websites that meet Section 508 guidelines and Level AA conformance to WCAG 2.1. Read Edlio’s commitment to accessibility.
If you have immediate concerns or if there are specific requirements you are required to meet, please let us know. As with all content management systems (CMS), creating accessible web content also relies on users to use the provided tools accordingly.
That is why we created guides to help you, as well as your teachers and staff, improve the accessibility of your site's content using tools in the Edlio CMS.

Accessibility Tips for Website Administrators
Web pages should have titles that describe topic or purpose.
Every non-text element (images, videos, audio files, plug-ins, etc.) should have ALT text (Alternative Text).
If an image is also used as a link, make sure the alt tag describes the graphic AND the link destination.
Create a link to a video rather than embedding it on the web page.
Filenames should be well-defined.
Add content from PDFs, Powerpoints and other documents directly to the page; embedded docs cannot be read by screen-readers.
Ensure uploaded PDFs are accessible.
Avoid link text that is ambiguous, like "click here", "more" or "continue".
Use plain text, rather than an image that has text in it.
Watch the use of CAPS.
Schools should have a written policy on website accessibility posted on their site where it can be easily located.
