Step 3: Choose Display Size

After uploading your PDF, you can control how it appears on your website:

  1. Click the three dots to the right of your uploaded file

  2. This opens the option menu for your PDF

  3. Under "Display Options", select your preferred size:

    • Small - Compact view, good for pages with multiple documents

    • Medium - Balanced size for most content

    • Large - Full-width display for detailed viewing

The size you choose determines how prominently the PDF displays on your public website.

Step 4: Publish Your Changes

Don't forget to publish the page to make your PDF visible to website visitors.

How PDFs Appear to Visitors

Depending on the display size you selected, your PDF will appear differently:

  • Large: Takes up most of the page width, ideal for important documents that need detailed viewing

What Visitors Can Do

Once published, visitors to your school website can:

  • Scroll through multi-page PDFs directly on your website

  • Read entire documents without leaving your site

  • Download PDFs to their devices

  • Print PDFs directly from their browser

  • Rotate PDFs if needed for better viewing

Technical Requirements

Visitors will need the Adobe PDF plugin installed in their web browser to view PDFs. If someone doesn't have this plugin, they'll see a link that helps them download and install it automatically.

Tips for Best Results

  • Choose Large display for important documents like policies or announcements that require detailed reading

  • Use Medium display for most general documents and forms

  • Select Small display when including multiple PDFs on the same page or when the PDF is supplementary to other content

  • Always test how your PDFs look on the public site before sharing the page with your school community
