Adjusting Homepage Articles

Your site's news ordering system works in one of two ways, depending on how it was initially configured:

Option 1: Manual Ordering (Drag and Drop)

If you see drag handles (small grip icons) beside each article, your site uses manual ordering.

To add an article to your homepage:

  1. Click and drag the article using the drag handle

  2. Drop it above the homepage divider line

  3. Remember to consider your site's design limits when selecting articles

To remove an article from your homepage:

  1. Drag the article below the homepage divider line

Option 2: Automatic Ordering (By Publish Date)

If you do not see drag handles, your site orders articles automatically by their publish date.

To change article order:

  1. Edit the news article you want to move

  2. Adjust the article's publish date

  3. Articles with more recent publish dates will appear higher on your homepage

Note: You can edit publish dates by opening the individual article and modifying the date field in the article settings.

Changing Your Ordering Method

If you'd like to switch between manual ordering and automatic date-based ordering, this requires a configuration change. Contact your Edlio support team to request this modification for your site.
